AVEC – Alaska Village Electric Cooperative (electric service in Bethel + villages)

Electricity in Bethel and most Y-K Delta villages comes from AVEC, a member-owned co-op based in Anchorage. Outages: if your neighbors are out too, call 1-800-478-1818 (also 907-561-1818). To start service in your name, fill out the Application for Service/Membership and include the meter serial number for your home, then send it to AVEC; moving, transfers and account closures go through the same Start or Stop Service page. Pay bills online through AVEC's Online Bill Pay. Financial-assistance and capital-credit info is on the customer service pages.
