Mayor Josiah Aullaqsruaq Patkotak Launches Taiguaqta Initiative to Promote Early Literacy in Partnership with NSBSD

The Taiguaqta Initiative, in partnership with the North Slope Borough School District, has launched to promote early and elementary literacy among North Slope children from kindergarten through grade 3, with students receiving culturally responsive books every three months.
