Russell also serves on the board of the Alaska Federation of Natives and as an advisor to the Bristol Bay Heritage Land Trust. His long history of leadership in both corporate and community roles reflects his commitment to strengthening opportunities throughout Bristol Bay.

Hundreds of emails, phone calls and massive amounts of time on social media advocating, educating and making people understand; seals and sea lions (pinnipeds) must be harvested in order to protect salmon and other fin fish from being eaten to extinction. At times I wanted to toss in the towel, but never being a quitter, I persevered. Now I am reading this article and a huge smile spreads across my face and it feels like a load of bricks fell off my back!
