Closure notice · Totem Heritage Center
Announcement posted Oct 13The Totem Heritage Center is temporarily closed for exhibit updates. Thanks to a Collections Management Fund grant from Museums Alaska and an Alaska State Museum Grant-in-Aid grant, we're excited to make improvements to the Totem Heritage Center this fall. Two new floor-to-ceiling exhibit cases will be installed in the classroom gallery, creating space to display more of the collection and share more stories with our visitors. A new interpretive rail will also be installed in the lower-level, funded by the Foundation for Advancement in Conservation. We will be closed October 13 – October 31 while we are finishing renovations and installing the exhibit. Staff will be working onsite, call for assistance at 225-5900. We look forward to celebrating the new exhibit with you and kicking off the Totem Heritage Center's 50th anniversary on November 6!
