Ketchikan has a State DMV office at 415 Main Street, Suite 103 (lobby of the State Office Building) for driver licenses, REAL ID, vehicle registration and titles, road tests and ID cards; Metlakatla and Saxman residents use it too. Hours Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm (closed the first Tuesday of the month 8:30-9:30am and State holidays); phone 907-269-5551 (the statewide DMV line used for all offices). Non-commercial road tests are on Wednesdays by appointment (schedule online); motorcycle tests on Tuesdays May-September, weather permitting. Many renewals, address changes and duplicate-title requests can be done online at dmv.alaska.gov without a visit.
