Ketchikan Public Library (library card & programs)
The public library at 1110 Copper Ridge Lane: free Wi-Fi and computers, e-books via Libby and Hoopla, kids and teen programs (birth-18), Teen Advisory Group, meeting rooms, interlibrary loan, tax forms and PFD forms each spring, and free Outreach delivery of materials island-wide for people with mobility difficulties. Hours: Sun noon-6 PM, Mon 10-6, Tue-Wed 10-7, Thu-Sat 10-6. Phone 907-225-3331, library@firstcitylibraries.org. Card: bring a valid Alaska picture ID plus a piece of mail with a local address (Coast Guard: military ID). KGBSD students (except Revilla) automatically get an account; other kids 6+ apply with a parent. New arrivals and cruise workers can get a temporary card for a $10 fee plus $20 cash deposit (refundable).
