Ketchikan Gateway Borough Transit – The Bus
The Bus is the Borough's public bus running the Tongass Avenue corridor between Saxman/Fawn Mountain, downtown, the airport ferry, Walmart and Pond Reef/Totem Bight, plus a Green Line loop and a free downtown shuttle zone in summer. Buses run roughly hourly from 5:15 am to about 9:15 pm; no service on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas. Cash fare (exact change only): adult $2, youth $1, seniors 60+ $1, ADA paratransit cardholders ride free; day pass $5 ($2.50 senior/youth), monthly pass $25 ($15 discounted), annual $179 ($99). Buy passes on the Token Transit app or in person at the Transit Center (1175 Copper Ridge Lane) or Borough offices (1900 First Avenue), Mon-Fri 8-5.
