This Inuit Day, we'd like to thank the Inuit Circumpolar Council Alaska for their work advancing Inuit self-determination for almost five decades.
VOICE was proud to participate in an ICC panel last month at the Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavík, Iceland alongside Inupiat Community of the Arctic Slope and ICC Alaska. The session focused on how Inuit are working to change institutional barriers to food sovereignty, stressing the importance of indigenous control in fish and wildlife management.
