BLM Coldfoot Public Use Cabin Reservations Open

BLM’s public use cabin in Coldfoot is now accepting reservations for dates starting October 15, 2026. Fall and early winter are great time to explore the southern slopes of the Brooks Range, with opportunities for hiking or snowshoeing, scenic drives, wildlife sighting, and (of course) viewing the aurora borealis. Backcountry visitors should prepare for rapidly changing weather conditions and be ready to self-rescue when traveling in remote areas.
