October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month This month is a reminder to prioritize your health and encourage the people you care about to do the same. Early detection through routine mammograms can help find breast cancer sooner, when treatment is often most effective. To make screening more convenient, SSMH Screening for Life is offering extended mammography appointments throughout October from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. As a special Breast Cancer Awareness Month promotion, complete your mammogram during October and receive a FREE Celebration Bag while supplies last. Then join us for the 10th Annual Girls Night Out on October 28 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the SSMH Lobby for an evening of fun, community, refreshments, prizes, and more. Residents of surrounding villages who would like to attend Girls Night Out, as well as anyone wishing to schedule a mammogram, should contact Screening for Life at 907-852-9120 or 852-9372.
