Now Hiring: Executive Director, UIC Foundation Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation (UIC) is seeking a skilled UIC Foundation Executive Director to guide our scholarship and grantmaking efforts and support our mission of expanding opportunities for UIC shareholders and descendants. This role leads daily operations, strengthens key relationships, and ensures programs reflect and uphold Iñupiat values. The Executive Director works closely with the UIC Foundation Board and UIC Executive Leadership to develop strategy, support students and applicants, and steward resources that help communities thrive. Key Responsibilities: • Lead strategic planning and organizational development for the Foundation • Oversee scholarship administration, eligibility review, and applicant support • Develop and refine programs aligned with Foundation goals and values • Manage budgeting, financial tracking, and endowment-related coordination • Build and maintain partnerships with Tribal, educational, philanthropic, and community organizations • Serve as the Foundation’s primary fundraiser and advocate • Develop operational policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements • Prepare reporting and communication for the Board and leadership teams • Represent the Foundation in community outreach and events What You Bring: • Strong knowledge of Iñupiat culture and experience working with Alaska Native communities • Understanding of ANCs and their responsibilities to shareholders • Leadership experience in nonprofit, education, or community-based organizations • 8+ years of administrative experience, including supervisory and budgeting responsibility • Exceptional communication, organization, and project management skills • Ability to develop relationships across diverse partners and stakeholders • Experience in fundraising, grantmaking, or donor relations (preferred) • Commitment to advancing educational and community opportunities for UIC shareholders and descendants The UIC Foundation plays a key role in supporting students, families, and communities.
