ATTENDANCE MATTERS! EVERY DAY COUNTS! NSBSD Weekly Attendance Update | October 26–31, 2026 Our District-wide attendance rate for Week 12 was 78.80%, just below our goal of 80% or higher. We are close, but we still have work to do! Congratulations to our Top 3 Schools this week! 1. Harold Kaveolook School (Kaktovik) – 89.38% 2. Kali School (Point Lay) – 87.19% 3. Eben Hopson Middle School (Utqiagvik) – 82.20% A special congratulations to Harold Kaveolook School for leading the District this week! Regular school attendance is important to student success. Every day in the classroom provides opportunities for learning, preparing for assessments, building academic skills, and making progress toward the next grade level. When students miss school, they may miss important instruction that can be difficult to make up. We also recognize the importance of family and subsistence activities, which are an important part of our Iñupiat culture and way of life. Quyanaqpak to our families, students, and school staff for your continued efforts to improve attendance. Let's work together to reach our District goal of 80% or higher! Every day of learning makes a difference! Attendance data may change as updated enrollment and withdrawal information is received.
