Kiita Learning Community is the North Slope Borough School District's alternative high school in Utqiaġvik at 5246 Karluk St, serving older students who need a smaller, more flexible learning environment. Front office 907-852-9751; principal Shirley Hautala; school counselor Alex Ting. NSBSD phones have been down since September 9, 2026; the district posted temporary numbers on nsbsd.org. The temporary line for Kiita is 907-367-4497. Kiita also runs the Kiita Store, a donation-based thrift store at the school; school news is posted on the Kiita Owls Facebook page.
