Iḷisaġvik College Summer Camps — free camps for middle & high-school students (apply by ~May 2)

Every summer Iḷisaġvik College runs free camps for young people: overnight camps in the college dorms (high-school camps open to students from all over Alaska, with travel usually paid for students outside Utqiaġvik; middle-school overnight camps for Utqiaġvik students) and day camps for Utqiaġvik residents. Camps explore careers and are steeped in Iñupiaq culture — 2026 offerings included a Dog Mushing camp (May 30–June 6) and others listed on the page.
