National First Responders Day

Original post

National First Responders Day Today, the North Slope Borough recognizes and thanks the first responders who serve our communities across the North Slope. From our police officers and firefighters to our emergency medical personnel, dispatchers, and search and rescue teams, these individuals answer the call when our residents need help most. They work in challenging conditions, often in unpredictable environments, putting the safety and well-being of others first. We are grateful for their courage, professionalism, and commitment to protecting our people. We also recognize the families who support them and share in the sacrifices that come with this work. To all our first responders: thank you for showing up for our communities, for looking out for one another, and for keeping our people safe. Today and every day, we appreciate you.
