Congratulations to Our NSBSD Students!
The North Slope Borough School District would like to congratulate Melaiah Pikok of Utqiaġvik and Lloyd Ipalook of Nuiqsut on being elected to the Statewide Elders & Youth Council North Slope Region!
As elected youth representatives, they will serve as regional ambassadors, participate in monthly meetings, advocate for issues important to their communities, and help guide conference themes and planning.
We are proud to see our students representing their communities and bringing the voices of North Slope youth to the statewide level.
Congratulations, Melaiah and Lloyd! We wish you both success in your new roles.
Quyanaqpak!
