About this service

SNAP, formerly called food stamps, helps low-income Alaskans buy food, with benefits loaded onto an Alaska Quest Card that works like a debit card at approved stores. It is administered by the State of Alaska Division of Public Assistance; you can apply online through the Alaska Connect Portal or by submitting a paper Application for Services. Most applications must be processed within 30 days.
