Who it’s for
Immediate need (eviction/shut-off), Alaska resident, no other resources, household resources $500 or less
About this service
General Relief Assistance is a statewide State of Alaska program, not a North Slope office. It gives one-time help to households with an immediate, specific need — shelter if you have an eviction notice, utilities if you have a shut-off notice, food or clothing. To qualify you must have an immediate need, be an Alaska resident and US citizen or eligible immigrant, have no other resources available, meet income limits, and have household resources of $500 or less. Apply through the closest Division of Public Assistance office — find it at health.alaska.gov/dpa. Locally, Alaska 2-1-1 can also point you to help.
