About this service
Before you build, add on, move a structure, or put in a large shed on the North Slope you need a Land Management Regulation permit from NSB Planning & Community Services. Since March 2026 all permit applications are filed online through the North Slope AK OpenGov portal (northslopeak.portal.opengov.com): Form 800 for a Utqiaġvik residential project, Form 700 for a village-district residential project, Form 900 for subdivisions, Form 300 for rezoning; Form 500 cultural-resource clearance may also be needed.
